The incumbent will work as part of the Foreigners’ Department at the Personal Status Offices in Lebanon. She/he will be responsible for supporting the Departments to register civil events that occurred in Lebanon and maintain civil registry records. She/he will report to the Head of Department

Accountability: (key results that will be achieved)

Civil events are registered in a timely manner according to existing procedures and regulations.

Monthly reports on registered personal status events are submitted on time.

Responsibility: (process and functions undertaken to achieve results)

The Civil Registry Clerk will be reporting to the Head of the Foreigners’ Department or Personal Status Department at the Governorate and will be responsible for the following:

  • Enter personal status events which are executed at the Foreigners’ Registry into the system;
  • Following policies and procedures, explaining procedures and steps to POC.
  • Prepare monthly reports on all executed personal status events;
  • Assist the head of the Department where necessary in the implementation process
  • Perform other duties as required

Essential, desirable qualifications and required competencies:

  • Education: Completion of Lebanese Baccalaureate or equivalent. Additional education and training in a relevant university degree is desirable.
  • Job Experience: 2 years’ experience relevant to the function
  • The candidate should be computer proficient, with demonstrated data entry skills and familiarity with WORD/EXCEL.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken Arabic language.

Understanding of and demonstrated competencies working with individuals of a diversified background. Experience with handling confidential data
